Q1

How did you come to know the Lord?

Now in fact, it was in 2007 when I met a friend now who was a member of the [Assemblies] of God church. So now the guy was my classmate. So now, he used to tell me more about the Lord Jesus Christ. Then he asked me if I know much about Him. Then I said, “No, I know nothing about Jesus.” Now he started now telling me more about the love of God, how God loves me. Then he asked me whether to, whether I can make a decision of receiving Him or not. Then now, seeing how God love me, how Jesus died for me, then now I thought it was good for me to receive Jesus Christ. It’s when now I accepted Jesus Christ to be my Lord and personal Savior. That’s how I was saved.

Q2

How did you hear about CAPA?

Alright. The first thing is that I knew CAPA through my friend. Now the friend who’s also here. So he told me much about it. Then he asked me if I’m interested to come and join. So that’s how I knew CAPA. I knew through my friend.

Why did you decide to come?

The reason why, okay. The reason why I decided to come is that looking at the ministry I’m involved in and looking at the things that CAPA is offering—I’m talking about the lessons we are getting here—then I thought it is wise that I can be assisted more. I can grow in the understanding of what I’m doing in the ministry.

Q3

Have you ever faced any kind of difficulties because of your faith or what you believe?

Yeah—in fact, much. The issue is that, you know, sometimes, the things I was used to […] are very different from what the Bible teach me. So it’s like it’s more of a sacrificing myself to the Lord. So this is the thing which I know that is challenge. It gives me challenge. Yeah.

Q4

This upcoming school year, is there anything that you are nervous about or scared for?

In fact, not much—because what all I’m getting here, all what I see is what I was expecting and it’s what I wanted, so I’m happy about it. So I do not take it as a challenge; but I just take it as a blessing, yeah. So I’m happy about it.

Q5

What are you looking forward to learning this year?

I’m looking for the things which can make me develop in the knowing of the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to know much about God and how does God want us to minister in the ministry, which I’ve been interested in. So that’s what I’m looking forward to.

Q6

Are you just pastoring a church right now, or do you have another job outside of church?

In fact, I’m working within the church. Apart from pastoring as a youth pastor, I also work as an administrator. I do the administrations of the church.

Q7

What are your plans for ministry in the future?

So my plans is to share with all members who are in the ministry the things which I learn here. So I want to share with them so that together we can stand, and go over the world, and tell the people about the truth of God. Yeah, it’s what I’m desiring much.

Q8

How have you seen God’s providence in your life?

In fact, I’ve seen indeed God’s hands. You know, coming here at CAPA and to learn all of the things I’m learning, I don’t take it for granted. I know that it’s God, so each and every time, when I’m even in class, I do think of this thing that this is God. Yeah, so this is all what I can say.

Q9

Is there any way that we can be praying for you?

Yes. In fact, what I can look for is about that people must pray for me that God should continue give me grace. You know, to understand all of these things, it’s not easy because there is much work. You know, more readings, more studying, so it’s not easy. So I can ask people now to pray for me about that—that God should continue giving me strength, you know, encouragement, you know. And that I should also be working hard towards it. You know, it’s not easy. Sometimes people do decide to give up when they see that it’s much work, so some of the dudes say, “Ah, my hand’s up.” So I want these people to pray for me that I should have courage. Yeah.
